Job Title

Volunteer Fundraiser

The Role

The role is pivotal to ensuring Jen’s Special Place can continue to support young people through the delivery of social evenings, bereavement resources and other developing services. The fundamental of the role is to generate a stream of income that will allow Jen’s Special Place to grow financially stronger and enable the organisation to not only meet demand but explore and offer new resources and outlets of support.

Key Responsibilities

Core Skills and Knowledge

·         Develop new and imaginative fundraising activities

·         Seek out new fundraising opportunities

·         Project manage fundraising events

·         Recruit and appoint supporters for key events

·         Attend network events to promote Jen’s Special Place

·         Record keeping of fundraising events and financial information

·         Keep in touch with supporters of Jen’s Special Place and past fundraisers

·         Assist in marketing tasks

·         Share plans and ideas with Jen’s Special Place Trustees and Volunteers

·         Engage with young people of Jen’s Special Place on fundraising events

·         Collaborate with other services and contact local businesses to generate financial support

·         Work alongside other volunteers and maintain good communication with the founder

Our supporters and volunteers are so important and we accomplish a lot together. The social groups and activities happen because of volunteers donating their time and skills!
